What is the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) course

This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the pivotal role of the Product Owner in Scrum, focusing on the art of creating products that resonate with users. Product Owners transcend mere titles; they embody a vision for the product and effectively communicate it to developers and stakeholders, guiding the team toward its realisation.

Our curriculum encompasses the entire product value stream, commencing with an immersive exploration of the Product Owner role. Subsequently, participants will embark on an innovation workshop rooted in principles from the Design Thinking community. This collaborative session encourages diverse perspectives, fostering the exploration of various product ideas and potentialities. By the end of the first day, attendees will emerge with a firm grasp of the Product Owner role and a crystallised product vision.

On the second day, the focus shifts to validating product concepts, mastering the structuring of work through Story Maps, and refining the process of breaking work down into manageable releases. This journey culminates in an in-depth discussion on Product Backlogs, User Stories, and personas. Towards the conclusion of the day, participants will engage in a full Scrum Sprint, witnessing firsthand how the concepts discussed translate into tangible product creation.

Upon course completion, participants will be fully equipped to become Certified Scrum Product Owners. Moreover, successful candidates will gain a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, affording exclusive access to invaluable Product Owner resources and content.
